Help students draw out meaning from the films they watch.

Details

Professor: Sir Enrique Portugal
Subject: Ethics

Intended Learning Outcome: Students are tasked to write a review on a movie (or a play, novel, etc.) of their choice using the ideas discussed in class.

Feedback and Comments:
  • Using movies in exams, papers, or presentations can be applied to any subject, especially when it has to deal with real-life applications of abstract concepts and theories.

“I liked this activity because it really challenged me to apply what I learned in class. I also appreciated the fact that Sir used a movie to frame his questions because the movie itself was memorable and fun to watch, which made me more eager to ace the exam.”
