Feedback and Comments
  • This can work for both students who are meeting for the first time, or blockmates who have know each other longer.
  • Since the recording will be watched and graded, it encourages quieter students to speak up. It’s important to remind students before the activity that everyone should be given room to speak and share ideas.
  • It’s crucial that the professor sends their feedback to the students, and not just use the recording to grade them.

The activity really helped with cooperation, collaboration, and teamwork! Since we weren’t close close, it was awkward working with them, but because of this we became more open-minded. We had to listen to different perspectives and understandings, and not just push what we think is right. It was a bit awkward recording the call, but it was better than having our professor watching us real-time. In the end, we understood how it would be helpful to our professor in understanding our thought process and for giving feedback on what we could improve on.
