Get some laughs by having students translate their learnings into memes.
Details
Professor: Dr. Wanwan Lagos
Subject: HIS112 – The Contemporary World and Christianity
Intended Learning Outcome: Correctly express key concepts from class through the medium of memes.
Feedback and Comments:
- This is best used as a low-stakes assessment or a bonus to keep the “fun” aspect. Professors can also consider having students vote for their favorite, and the winner(s) can receive a prize (bonus points, exemptions, a free cut, snacks, etc.)
- With the students’ permission, professors can utilize the memes in their future classes and lectures.
- Memes can be utilized across any and all subjects – trust that the students will be able to come up with one based on their knowledge and experiences in class.
