Teacher Development Program 2 (TDP2)
A follow-up to the TDP1 and formerly LTTO2 (with 68% certification rate), TDP 2 places focus on the practice of reflective teaching to identify alternative teaching-and-learning activities that can accommodate all kinds of circumstances and conditions that students & teachers might be in.
If you would like to take TDP2, send us an email at [email protected]!
Teacher Recognition Awards 2022
An event that celebrates UA&P’s outstanding teachers, as nominated by their co-faculty and students. The event is held yearly in light of World Teacher’s Day, in collaboration with PHAROS, SED’s student organization.
July 2023
Teacher Development Program 3 (TDP3)
Meant to be a follow-up to TDP 2, TDP 3 places focus on action research, and provides guidelines and tips on how professors can conduct practical research in their classrooms to further improve the teaching and learning experience. This is a good companion for teachers who want to start an action research.
If you would like to take TDP2, send us an email at [email protected]!
Faculty Retreat
A three-day faculty retreat designed to empower the UA&P faculty with innovative teaching strategies and insights. The overarching goal of this faculty retreat, was to provide UA&P teachers with the opportunity to reflect, rethink, and redesign their learning plans and strategies through our panels, discussions, and hands-on activities.

Recurring Activities
Canvas Training for AAs & POs
Our Admin Assistants and Program Officers are vital in providing both faculty and students with a great teaching and learning experience – this is why we wanted to provide short workshops to better support them as they handle Canvas queries and to help them understand the system behind our LMS.

Learning Labs
Because consultation and tutorial sessions are frequently requested (primarily for Canvas LMS), we developed Learning Lab as a focused learning series on various EdTech tools and teaching strategies. The recurring goal is to provide the faculty with an opportunity to learn and practice technology-assisted teaching, and ultimately be inspired to contribute to an enhanced learning experience.
In 2023, we tackled the topics of Miro and ChatGPT. We also regularly hold seminars on new Canvas features that are released, such as New Analytics and New Quizzes.
Learning Lounges
Learning Lounge is a series of in-person meetings where teachers can share, discuss, and leave ideas about everything that is teaching-and-learning. A different take on the typical workshop, each session is more relaxed (more similar to a brown-bag meeting), and is a safe space to encourage teachers to participate and engage in the conversation.
As of today, we tackled these topics:
- Learning Experience Design with Habi Education Lab
- Adaptive Design for Learning with Galvin Ngo (Ateneo)
- Canvas LMS for Continuous Capacity-building with Roselle Basa (FEU)
- Creative Design Thinking Workshop for Active Learning Spaces with Steelcase
- Ease into Research: Simple, Bite-Sized Strategies towards School Improvement with Drs. Samuel and Junefel Macagba (Xavier University)

Curriculum Management Workshop – Phase 1
Led by BPA, CMW aimed to revamp the standardization of program-related documents and processes across UA&P in a timetable of 8 weeks. CTL was tasked to design documentation prototypes and the Canvas workshop course, and assist in workshop facilitation.
In May, the CTL team, together with facilitators Dr. Steffi Manhit and Ms. Minnie Guizano, conducted FGDs to gather feedback about the program for the next CMW phases. This, along with submission data gathered via Canvas, were compiled by CTL into a report and submitted to ManComm.
July 2023
Anthology Pilot Launch
UA&P subscribed to Anthology, an online platform designed to streamline the collection and analysis of student feedback on courses. We aim to simplify course evaluation procedures and increase student participation, so that we can better track what our teachers are doing well, and what can be improved.

Recurring Activities
Academic Progression and Empowerment Experience (APEX)
We want to be able to check in with our Academic Managers regularly, so we started holding small FGDs to better support them. Currently, we are working on identifying best practices being done within different programs, and addressing bottlenecks or weak areas of each program in management and administration.
If you wish to participate in APEX, reach out to Ms. Za Elises via [email protected]!
Baseline Study 1.1
Our TRD team has been tracking ten cohorts of undergraduate students from year of entry (every AY from 2014-2015 to 2023-2024) in order to find trends in student retention, attrition, and completion, and identify the subjects with the highest numbers of failing grades. The findings so far were presented to the Council for Academic Affairs last July 16, 2024.
